The 5-minute AI visibility check

Before holiday shoppers ask AI what to buy, ask it yourself. Five checks, what to type, and what to write down.

Shoppers now ask AI what to buy. You can see what it tells them in five minutes. Open a private browser window so your own history does not shape the answers, then tick each step as you go.

Your check, before holiday

1. ChatGPT: are you named?

Ask the way a shopper would, not the way a marketer would. Use the problem, not your brand name.

What is the best running shoe for flat feet under $150?

Write down every brand it names, in order. If you are not there, note who is. Then ask a follow up that names you: "What about [your brand]?" and read what it says.

2. Google AI Mode: same question

Paste the exact same question into AI Mode in Google Search. The two assistants read different sources, so the shortlists often differ. A brand that wins one and misses the other has a source problem, not a product problem.

3. Instagram: ask Meta AI

Open the Meta AI chat inside Instagram and describe your shopper’s use case. Note whether it suggests you, a rival, or nobody.

4. Amazon: ask Rufus

In the Amazon app, ask Rufus about the problem your product solves. Even if you do not sell on Amazon, this shows which products a shopper sees first for your need.

5. Your fix list

This is the step that matters. For every wrong or missing answer, write what AI said, what is true, and where AI could read the truth.

These rows are examples of the errors to look for, not results from a real store.

Most teams stop at the screenshot

A screenshot of a wrong answer is easy. The hard part is finding where the AI read it, writing the correction in a form AI trusts, getting it approved, shipping it, and checking that the answer changed.

How Shopthru.ai helps

Shopthru.ai is an AI agents team that runs this check for you, on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI, Perplexity and Copilot. It drafts each fix into an approval inbox, ships it only on your yes, and measures again. Instagram and Amazon are next.

See what AI would buy from you.
